-- Indonesia's retail sales are expected to continue rising in March, according to Bank Indonesia's latest Retail Sales Survey released Monday.
The Real Sales Index (RSI) is projected to grow 2.4% annually, supported by gains in spare parts and accessories, food and beverages, and cultural and recreational goods.
Monthly, retail sales are forecast to jump 9.3% in March, accelerating from 4.1% in February. The improvement is driven by stronger demand across most categories, including information and communication equipment, automotive fuel, and clothing, as household consumption rises during Ramadan and ahead of Eid-ul-Fitr, the central bank said.
