-- Proenergy said on Friday that it has closed the sale of its Braes Bayou and Brotman generating stations to the South Texas Electric Cooperative for $768 million.
According to the company's press release, the Texas-based generating stations, which serve the Electric Reliability Council of Texas market, generate 768 megawatts of fast-start power, using the company's own manufactured equipment, which include the PE6000 turbines.
Proenergy will continue to operate and maintain the plants under an agreement, as it has since they were developed through 2021 and 2023.
