-- CMS Energy (CMS) subsidiary Consumers Energy said Monday it has broken ground on the Four Cities Metro Pipeline project to replace an aging natural gas network spanning over 8 miles across Oakland and Macomb counties in Michigan.
The pipeline project traverses through Royal Oak, Clawson, Madison Heights, and Warren.
The company will initially target replacing sections of the pipeline in Royal Oak, Clawson, and Warren cities this year, and aims to complete the modernization of the entire network by 2029.
Consumers Energy supplies natural gas and electricity to 6.8 million residents in the state.
