The UK's gross domestic product expanded 0.5% month over month in February, following a revised 0.1% growth in January, the Office for National Statistics said Thursday.
The reading compares with analysts' expectations of a 0.1% increase for the month.
On a yearly basis, the British economy grew 1%, against the prior revised 0.7% increase and the market forecast of a 0.6% jump.
