-- GMV Minerals (GMV.V) on Thursday said that drill mobilization "went smoothly" and that it has begun drilling at the Mexican Hat Gold Deposit in SE Arizona.
The company said that the first holes will focus on confirmatory core drilling of the deposit spanning 1,000 metres in strike length, 400 metres of true width from near surface at elevation 1,565 metres to an elevation of 1,185 metres.
It added that this will test approximately 90% of the mineralization providing confirmation of grade distribution allowing for the Inferred Mineral Resource to be confirmed and potentially be upgraded, and to collect geotechnical information to assist in modelling of the open pit.
Shares in GMV edged up in Canada trade yesterday.
