-- Mongolian Mining (HKG:0975) posted a 32% year-on-year increase in run-of-mine coal output to 4.8 million tonnes for the first quarter, with production up 22% from the previous quarter, according to a Friday Hong Kong bourse filing.
Sales of washed coking coal rose 60% from a year earlier to 2.6 million tonnes, though slipped 1% on the quarter.
Washed coking coal production increased 8% year on year to 2.3 million tonnes but edged down 3% from the prior quarter.
The company processed 3.9 million tonnes of ROM coking coal, up 1% quarter-on-quarter and 4% higher from a year earlier.
