-- Japanese apparel firms are stepping up their presence in Thailand's capital to tap into the country's expanding youth demographic, Nikkei Asia reported on Monday.
Human Made (TYO:456A), a fashion label, launched its debut Southeast Asian outlet in late March, while Shimamura(TYO:8227), a budget clothing retailer, entered the Thai market in December.
Japanese clothing brands started seriously entering the Thai market following Fast Retailing's (TYO:9983) Uniqlo arrival in 2011.
Uniqlo had opened approximately 70 locations in Thailand by 2025, becoming the top Japanese apparel retailer in the nation.
