-- New Zealand's total vehicle registrations were 4.7 million in March, an increase of 11,752 from the previous month, covering both six and 12-month licensing periods, data from Stats NZ showed Monday.
The increase was driven by a rise in car registrations, which rose by 13,243 month on month to about 3 million, while rental car and motorcycle registrations dropped to 45,500 and 74,581 from 46,999 and 78,829, respectively, the report said.
Compared with the year-earlier period, total vehicle registrations in New Zealand rose by 9,221 in March, the report added.
