-- Ibiden (TYO:4062) said its official website was hit by a service outage that led to the display of an unauthorized web page, prompting the company to suspend access and investigate a possible external intrusion, according to a Monday filing on the Tokyo and Nagoya stock exchanges.
The company said it shut down the affected server after confirming early in the morning that unrelated content had appeared on its website.
Ibiden said it is working to identify the cause of the incident, restore services and implement measures to prevent a recurrence.
It said no damage such as leakage of personal information has been confirmed so far, though it advised users who may have accessed the unauthorized page to update their device security.
