-- Saudi Arabia said on Sunday that it had restored the full oil pumping capacity at its East-West pipeline to 7 million barrels per day, just days after disclosing the extent of damage resulting from Iran's air strikes against the facility, according to a Reuters report, citing a statement by Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Energy
The pipeline is currently the only alternative for the country to circumvent the closure of the Strait of Hormuz, which has entered its seventh week.
According to the ministry, strikes in recent weeks have disrupted oil, gas, refining, petrochemicals and electricity plants, across Riyadh, the Eastern Province and Yanbu Industrial City.
Riyadh said earlier this week that the attacks had reduced East-West pipeline throughput by about 700,000 bpd and oil production capacity by around 600,000 bpd, with losses split between the Manifa and Khurais fields.
It also said that efforts were ongoing to restore full output at the Khurais oil field, which had reduced output by 300,000 barrels per day following the air strikes.
