-- US President Donald Trump on Tuesday criticized the UK's energy stance, urging North Sea oil drilling to meet Europe's energy needs.
Trump said in a Truth Social post, "Europe is desperate for energy, and yet the United Kingdom refuses to open North Sea oil, one of the greatest fields in the world," describing the situation as "tragic."
"Norway sells its North Sea Oil to the UK at double the price," Trump said, adding, "They are making a fortune," while the UK fails to fully leverage its geographic advantage.
He added that the UK "is better situated on the North Sea for purposes of energy than Norway."
The UK should drill and have "no more windmills," Trump said.
Trump previously made similar remarks, saying in a Truth Social post on Jan. 3, "The UK is making a very big mistake. Open up the North Sea. Get rid of Windmills!"
