Earnings per share at the integrated circuit manufacturer decreased 3.3% to 0.87 yuan from 0.90 yuan in the previous year.
Operating income grew 8.1% year over year to 38.9 billion yuan from 36 billion yuan.
Shares rose 2% during afternoon trading on Tuesday.
