-- The first passenger vessel has sailed through the Strait of Hormuz since its reopening on Friday, according to a post on X by MarineTraffic.
The cruise ship Celestyal Discovery has sailed through the Strait.
After departing Dubai on April 17, after spending 47 days docked, the Malta-flagged vessel crossed the Strait of Hormuz today and is currently heading toward Muscat, Oman, with an estimated arrival on April 18.
MarineTraffic's post noted that reports indicate the vessel is sailing without passengers.
A total of about 20 ships were seen moving from the Gulf toward the exit via Hormuz on Friday, Reuters reported, citing ship-tracking data.
