-- Scales (NZE:SCL) said the Netherlands Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority opened an investigation on April 16 into Esro Food Group, its 50% joint venture (JV) partner in Esro Pet Food, according to a Monday filing with the New Zealand bourse.
The company clarified that Esro Pet Food is not part of the investigation, does not supply products to the human food market, and functions as an independent legal entity dedicated exclusively to pet food production, per the filing.
The company also added that Esro Pet Food operates from its own premises with independent licenses and permits, and that its business activities continue as normal without any disruption, the filing added.
